These bar soap hacks will help get the job done for less—while also being more environmentally friendly (more on that in a moment). From doing home repairs to getting a space smelling fresh again, these hacks relied on the bar soap we already have. Check them out!

So, whenever you are going to move out, or you want to make your new random home feel fresh, wall holes can be such a pain in the arse to fix. Use a bar of soap, not pricey filler! The soap allows you to rub directly over the holes and it can flow into the gaps. You can then paint over it for a flat coat once it is on.

2. Combat Smelly Shoes

If your shoes stink, a bar of soap will chase away the odor. Put a wrapped bar of soap in each shoe and let stand overnight. The soap will pick up the odor, and you can repeat the process as needed.

3. Prevent Mirror Fogging

Get rid of the post-shower fogged-up mirror annoyance by rubbing some soap over it with a bar of soap. It creates a thin film shield preventing condensation on your mirror.

4. Freshen Up Clothes

If your clothes are stored in a damp environment, they may begin to smell musty. To prevent this, take a bar, wrap it in cloth, and pack it in your drawer. The smell of soap will neutralize unpleasant odors.

5. Lubricate Old Screws

While stuck screws can be a pain in the butt, a house bar of soap can make them easier to work with. Put down some water in the soap to get it lathered, then rub the screw on the soap to be able to slide it perfectly.
